Great services station, featuring McDonald's, Greggs, and many other hot/cold food outlets. Ample parking as you would expect along with the normal high prices associated with services. A large petrol station with above average prices on site but the real gem is a fair sized days inn hotel complex. The whole site is surrounded with trees and shrubbery which reduces the noise of the motorway remarkably well. Only 4 stars due to the foul smelling toilet facilities within the services.
really like to stop at these services. staff really helpful and friendly at the exit with the golden arches. when all sockets are open, there is a large selection of menus. the only side when they leave the a1 is the road not well illuminated and signage is bad. in any case, a stop when they are hungry.
because the services go, this is a good. super clean, fuel not blackmail and a food dish with many options. m and s was surprisingly empty, but a sarnie and craps for almost one tenner is probably the reason. Good old dieucks sorted the coffee and cake and I was good to go!
