The service and overall management at Fairview Inn have noticeably declined. I reported that the A/C and thermostat weren't working, but the voicemail was full, and when I sent a text, I only received an automatic reply promising someone would get back to me—yet no one ever did. I had to sleep with the sliding door open for two uncomfortable nights. There was no ice available either. During lunch at the restaurant, two signature sandwiches were unavailable, leaving only chicken options on the menu. We ordered espresso coffees, but the bartender refused to use the machine. After waiting a long time without any service, we chose to leave. For $250 a night, we expected a much better experience....
very clean pleasing to the eyes interior and great marine location. went for Sunday lunch and no waiting was promptly seated. Waiter came introduced himself and offered drinks. He came back after about 10 minutes to order. we placed a chicken pasta plate and a fisherman's player. we waited for over 1/2 an hour and he then informed us due to a large group the kitchen is backed up. we eventually got our food which was excellent but he should have told us that there might be a delay because if the large group. The family surprised Mom, who is over 80, with a week-long stay at one of her favorite places, The Fairview Inn! The surrounding area is lovely for strolling and sightseeing. The Inn is charming and features a wonderful menu. The staff were very attentive, and management made sure to keep an eye on Mom since she was by herself. While she didn’t need any special help, we all felt reassured knowing she was well cared for. Mom loved her room and had an unforgettable vacation!
I recently dined at the restaurant with my parents to reconnect with family friends after several years. The waitress was incredibly thoughtful, giving us plenty of time to catch up while still being readily available when we needed her. The food was exceptional, and we all had a fantastic time! Review of the Grill..almost. Did not bother to go to the restaurant for a family celebration because the hostess? on the phone was indifferent and poor service. Will celebrate elsewhere. By the way, look at tripadvisor for reviews on the hotel.
Just had a great meal at the Fairview Inn, Brant Rock with maybe the best, sweetest fried clams I've ever had. My husband had the broiled scallops and they were cooked perfectly. Everything was fresh and delicious. We'll be back!
I can't comment on the rooms since my review focuses on their restaurant, The Grille. The food is absolutely fantastic! My favorite dish is the Seafood Casserole.
The ambiance, service, and cuisine are all exceptional! I’m looking forward to coming back soon!
