Fairways - Grill & Patio

This hidden gem is located near home at the top of the mountain and was a pleasant surprise. My wife had a voucher for a $39 family feast, so we decided to try it out. We initially thought it would be a simple cafe with sandwiches, but it exceeded our expectations. The restaurant has new TVs, a large fireplace, and amazing views of the lower mainland from their patio and glass walls. The Canucks game was playing on a large projector screen, adding to the ambiance. The food was delicious - the salads were fresh, the pizzas were hot and crispy, and the pastas were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, and we had no problem leaving a 20% tip. Was here for lunch with a group on a recommendation. Very small lunch menu, same old average faire... Asked if they would/could make a pasta, NO, we only make what's on the lunch menu. Beef dip meat was tough and sour tasting. Good fries, good au jus, decent gravy. Service was mehh... Waitress forgot my gravy, asked again, she then pointed to the au jus on my plate. Sorry, no that's not gravy my dear. Please know what u r doing, especially with the mandatory 16%tip. The restaurant was dead, not like they were slammed. Very average food, above average price, mediocre service. Won't be back and won't recommend... Haven't been in a good 5+ years, certainly not what it use to be.

This is one of the most beautiful settings in the lower mainland. It's had its ups and downs and toddy again was a down. Sitting on the Patio. Beautiful views. Two young inexperienced servers. Ordering a Caesar salad my wife was told they didn't have romaine as there's a shortage. Hmmmm. Coffee was served first cup great. Had to remind her for a refill. Second cup cold. New pot arrived. Wife ordered pasta. Asked for a spoon. Finally arrived after I had shared mine. Service. Service. Service. Train these people. Do sad. Probably be a long time before I go back.

This little gem tucked away in Coquitlam is an excellent stop. The new menu features specials like grilled swordfish. New pasta entrees. And the pizza is to die for. ( meat lovers is awesome ). Always busy when the sun is shining as you have to look hard to find a view like this. The patio is spectacular. Didn't luck out lad night getting a seat there as it was all booked but either way. we come every year from France to Coquitlam and love it. We often had lunches and even parties there. Today, I wanted to pay a visit to the golf course, thinking of taking an inscription,and was actually "fired", as well my family, someone coming to say in a very unpolite way that this was no public park and that we had to leave at once. This happened three times before we could leave safely ( the employee who came last was very polite)A place to avoid, definitely!!!Gerard Coutin

My husband and I had a hard time deciding what to order due to the great updated menu. I loved the Linguini Shrimp and Scampi, and the Hunter's Chicken was extraordinary. Our server Justin was attentive and friendly, with excellent service. Hat's off to the new chef's menu, and to chef of the day Prashanth Ravi! (we actually stopped visiting this restaurant a year ago due to poor service and unappetizing grill/bar food, but we are happy to find every aspect has improved!)

The food at this grill was average, but the service exceeded my expectations, especially considering that our group of 8 was attended to by only one server who also acted as a hostess and bartender. Despite being the sole staff member up front, she was friendly, attentive, and accommodating to our requests (as it was a birthday celebration). She spoke kindly and served us with a smile. The restaurant was not busy, but I was pleased with the level of service we received.

After a previous bad experience visit we made a call to give it another go. As I said previously the view is spectacular and this place " can " be great. Last night joined by friends we had a great meal and great service. Full credit to our server Heather who made it a very enjoyable experience. The meals were all great and service superb. The food at this restaurant is excellent. The recent change in management has made a noticeable difference, and the new kitchen staff has significantly improved the quality of the dishes. I am very happy with my experience and would highly recommend this place to others.

The view in the evening is great The menu is well varied Tuna tartar and calamari apps were excellent The evening special was lamb shank - very well done Other selections were salads - nicely done Reasonable wine list with normal markups
