The food was decent, but the service could have been quicker and more attentive. I went around 1 PM on a Sunday, and drinks came out fast. I had my heart set on a club sandwich, but I was informed that they don’t serve them on weekends because they take too long to prepare??? So, I opted for the BBQ sandwich instead. While it was acceptable, it was quite salty for North Carolina-style BBQ. There wasn’t much vinegar flavor, and hardly any heat. On the bright side, the pork itself was cooked nicely. I really wish I could have had that club sandwich after all, lol.
I ordered the fried chicken dinner. It was take out. The food was very bland. One of my chicken wings had a ling piece of hair on it. I called the restaurant and told the person what I ordered and it had hair on it. She had the nerve to say ok. I asked what can be done about it. She told me I can come back and get one chicken wing because she don’t know who hair that could be. Do she actually think I’m going to come all the way from Southside for one chicken wing? They really need to work on their customer service
I arrived with my family just 20 minutes before closing, but unfortunately, they weren't able to accommodate us. I've never encountered a restaurant that turns away customers so close to closing time. As someone who has worked as a server for 16 years, I was really disappointed. It's even more upsetting knowing that this is a Black-owned business. This kind of experience is part of the reason why some businesses in our community struggle to succeed. I won't be returning.
I've been coming to this place for awhile. Love the atmosphere, and the servers are very courteous. Lately, the food has been changing to have no seasoning. There is no seasoning like it was. They are changing the taste to accommodate certain persons. The mac n cheese and cabbage have gone from being great to so very bland. The pork chop and gravy item is still good.

Food was good but everything needed salt. Everyone at our table had to add salt to their food. The young man who worked our table was very nice but he needed some help since it was 10 of us. I would go back but not with a large party..Vegetarian options: They have a veggie platter of 3 sides you can get..
The car club celebrated the anniversary of the Ford Mustang at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Many members had to take home leftovers because there was so much food. This will definitely be my go-to spot for lunch when I'm in that area!
My experience at this restaurant was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. They had me waiting an hour for food. The owner has a very trifling attitude. And I would never recommend this type of business to anybody.
This place is awesome. If you go there, you have to try the pig feet dinner. It's out of this world. The staff is very friendly and treats people like their family. Sit back and enjoy yourself. You can't go wrong.

HORRIBLE!!! The first time I came the food was delicious Tonight I waited over and hour for cold food, greasy fish, cold cornbread, and lukewarm cabbage! IM DONE!! I will not be back!!
OMG the food was delicious. The collard greendd were seasoned perfectly. The service was awsome.
