I love love love this place! I have been coming here so long that it SEEMS like I was here in 1189! Everything about this place is fantastic the food, the ales, the history, the staff I always feel like I am in my local pub every time I come here! Ask nicely and you may get a tour of the cellar. You could spend hours walking around, exploring every cubbyhole of this place. And make sure to give a go at the Ring and Horn game and if you 're lucky, there will be an expert there to show you how to do it. I cannot recommend this place too much!
Aweosme little tavern! We sat outside for a beverage then sat in the room/cavern near the bar with the bull hook and ring! We had a local show us and several others how to swing the hook and land it on the horn. The bar tenders were fun! They told us all about the old pumping style used for tap beer. The food was great! I had the pork belly. This place was built in 1189 the oldest tavern in England. If in Nottingham make time to stop by for a meal or beverage.
You HAVE to have a pint in here if you make the trip to Nottingham! It's the oldest pup in England, apparently, and to sit inside and soak up the history was enough for me.... Great pub. Guinness was perfect! I only had the chips so I can't really write a food review based on those, although they were delicious...
The server accidentally dropped half of my wife's chips on the table and did not offer to replace them. The plates and glasses were only cleared once we placed a new reservation card on the table, which meant we had to look at dirty plates for over an hour. The food was just average pub fare.

I had a great time at this restaurant! The atmosphere and history are really enjoyable. The food was just okay, but the nice ambiance makes up for it. They also offer a good selection of beers. Overall, worth a visit!
The food and cocktails were amazing and affordable. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxe, making it perfect for a cozy dinner date. I would definitely come back again.
Definitely going again beautiful Palestinian ppl went out of there way for us . You should all once in life go and you will realise how generous and polite they are
The sticky toffee pudding we had here was the best we tried in all of England! Every dish was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Great OLD pub! If you are in Nottingham (or driving through the area) stop here!! Good food and amazing prices and the coolest location!
