Unfortunately, when I took a bite, all the meat came out of the bun—perhaps it needed to be sliced thinner. In my opinion, the bun doesn't hold up well to medium-rare beef; it was quite crumbly. The beef itself lacked seasoning, char, smoke, and flavor. A little salt and pepper before cooking, or a finishing salt, could have really enhanced it. I understand that many places are cautious about salt usage, but beef benefits from it to bring out the flavor.

We finally made a stop at Fast Eddie's Pit Beef, and we couldn't be happier. We ordered the Pit Beef Sandwich and a Provolone Pit Sink Sandwich, along with some sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. I mentioned wanting to get something for my Golden Retriever, and they generously gave him some Pit-Rindschrotte, which really made his day. I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for some great pit beef!
I ordered the pit beef, and they asked if I wanted it medium or well done. It was fresh and flavorful, and the bun was also fresh. They offer a variety of condiments as well. The staff is friendly, and there are plenty of seats available for dining in. Although there often seems to be a short line, it moves quickly, and my order was ready in about 3-4 minutes.
The food is always fantastic. Great flavor and quality meats. I 've never had a sandwich with any grissly chewy spots. My opinion this is the best pit beef spot around. And the fries are pretty freaking good too. No place to sit inside, only outside under the tent. Just so you know what to expect.

This is hands down the best pit beef you can find in Maryland. It's absolutely delicious! The meat is always cooked to perfection, the fries are consistently excellent, and the staff is very friendly. Overall, it's the top spot to enjoy a classic pit beef sandwich.
Food is terrible since they moved across the street. Pit ham, pit beef and frys $46.00 . All sliced way to thick. Ham was nothing but thick cheap deli meat. We couldn't chew it. $46.00 in the trash. 30 plus year customer. Wont go back.
Not a bad place for a quick sandwich on my lunch break. They have online ordering which helps because I can order ahead and it's ready when I get there.
