Fathom Bistro, Bait Tackle

Ordered a burger, took 45 minutes, the sign said “ small craft eatery with big heart…….all food prepared to order….good things come to those who wait…. At 12:35 they ran out of breakfast items.. they stopped all food orders till 1:00 as they don’t take lunch orders till 1:00. The Burger was not good, overcooked, tasteless, served on a sausage roll. Great beer list. A bit of a captured audience as it’s isolated. Nice people, I’ll probably come back and order something else when I have plenty of time.

Individual fishing by the person per hour equipment rental. You get a basic fishing pole, and a few extra tools upon request for a reasonable price, no license required on the pier. Bait is extra. Overall, well worth the price if you want to go fishing on vacation and didn't bring your stuff. Guy at the counter was helpful.Service: 5/5

Service was a little slow but they warn you that their food takes time. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was good. Good, better than average beer selections on tap. Seating is limited inside this tiny place but has about 4 tables outside. Located on the pier.Parking: There is a lot of free parking.

This is THE place to eat on Shelter Island! Seating on the pier surrounded by water or inside. Priced far better than any other restaurant on the island. Their made-on-site sausage is fantastic!Food: 5/5

Food and beer equal to the location and view. The best kind of hole in the wall type spots over the water on Shelter Island.
