Fenton River Grill

Fenton River Grill is a place we've passed over for a long while. Although in a strip mall the place was clean and interestingly and tastefully decorated. It seems to be a great meeting place for a mixed crowd where you can actually hear each other talk as you are not overtaken by loud music. We stopped in fairly late for our dinner, almost 9pm, and found it fairly busy. The menu was just enough of some familiar types of dishes as well as new and interesting things to try. I recently had a great experience at the old Angeleno's restaurant. The staff was very attentive, and I have only visited during the day. The outdoor seating area is lovely, and the wait staff were excellent at checking on us. The indoor section includes a bar area and some cozy booths. The portion sizes of the food were reasonable, but the prices were a bit higher than what I had anticipated. The quality of the food was top-notch, with delicious flavors and perfectly warm temperatures. Overall, it seems to be a more upscale restaurant than I had originally thought. Been enjoying this restaurant for 6 years now. today the wife and I got some takeout, and unfortunately it was a disgusting experience. the fries were not edible with the amount of salt that was on them, there was no and I mean no French onion soup in the soup that we ordered, just cheese and bread, and my wagu burger was less than exceptional. at least it was edible. I don't know if it was because it was takeout or just a bad day I don't know what happened but it will make me think twice before going again.

Great food. We have fun at the bar typically, where we can get to know the staff. Plenty of local brews on tap and consistently great food. This restaurant is one of the top choices near UConn and Eastern. It's a favorite for both myself and many others I know. The service is excellent, with a meal type of lunch and a price range of $20–30 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. Recommended dishes include the Blackened Chicken, Quesadilla, Fenton Burger, and Crispy Brussels Sprouts. There is plenty of parking available, with free parking in the lot.
