Today, Father's Day, we celebrated in this beautiful place lost in the countryside. Upon arrival, on the perron, we were warmly welcomed by the owners of this beautiful inn farm that serves only the products of their crops, productions and/or harvests, or at least local and fresh. On the menu of the day, (but I will forget so much it is varied, presented and copied):- aperitif home-a traditional soup in entry, to lick the soup,- a foie gras, which, for my part, is certainly the best ever tasted, embellished with a roast apple, toasted bread, spice bread and other sweets-. a thigh of duck with fresh girolles, picked by jacquou himself in his 10 hectares of wood, the whole with a belly of roas...
for one first it was a complete and unanimous success for my 25 guests, who like me discovered this farm inn. An impeccablely maintained and tastefully flowered garden that denotes from the finish a sustained work. In the middle... He expects us with a big smile and a friendliness that will surprise you. soon joined by michèle who makes us discover a table admirably decorated with small red roses, laid on the table and winding between the covers. the best effect! there again shows the taste of the work well done to perfection seen in the folding of towels. Our neighbours recommended this ferme auberge and we were very pleased to find it, hidden in the woods! We had a lovely welcome and the food was delicious. No menu - eat what comes, and it does indeed come: garlic soup; foie gras with baked fruits (+ monbazillac) duck steak with girolles, salsify fritters and stuffed tomatoes; cheese and salad; profiteroles filled with ice cream - not to mention the unlimited wine. It was fabulous, so much so that we wanted to bring friends and booked again for a few nights later. This place was a 15 min drive from where we were staying and was in the middle of nowhere!First impressions on entering the restaurant was how clean, neat and well dressed everything was.The food is of the maison, so no choice but it was faultless, soup, foie gras (with a separate glass of monbazillac) meat course with varied and interesting vegetable side dishes, a choice of various well kept cheeses and two huge ice cream filled profiteroles. All accompanied by endless wine, bread, water, coffee and a glass of homemade whole prunes in brandy.Not cheap at 40 euros each but a fantastic way to pass nearly four hours and what food, superb!!

You want to be received as if you were invited to friends? Do you want to be offered a real cozy comfort in a relaxing setting? You want in addition to all this feel very well, as in a small cocoon where time is suspended? and obviously you want to eat as well as in the best restaurants that want to delight their hosts, homemade products for the most part, obviously cooked in the farm, served with the love of shared pleasure, you want something else? You will have it, as you will have all the above. go to the gourmet, and you will return to it!!!
a peaceful place in the countryside where I go very often, very pretty restaurant room tastefully decorated, and especially a delicious meal. only vegetable garden products, bass-course and forets prepared by michele, an exceptional cook, a real happiness! there is the traditional and generous cuisine of the perigord. the atmosphere is family and very warm. You can go with your eyes closed, you just have to think of booking because they only work fresh products. Thank you again to michele and jackies!
excellent time spent at the inn during the baptism of our girl. The kitchen was excellent, only fresh quality products coming from the garden! it is the perigourdine uisine par excellence! excellent quality/price ratio, we highly recommend the hostel of jacquou le gourmand.
very good reception in this farm inn that has a lot of charm, the setting is very pleasant!coté restoration the products are fresh and from the corner, they are worked on site and in abundance! short the real farm inn as we love it!

Great food. Just on a date because the food is made especially for you, for the price, you don't have to leave it 35 quid incl. Nice kind of wine.
