cete ferme-auberge nous avait été recommandée pour sa table. Un repas unique sauf pour la viande, à 24,50 € pourquoi pas, boissons comprises. On commence par une soupe locale (tourin blanchie) à base d'ail, d'oignons, de vermicelle et d'oeufs : étrange quand on ne connait pas mais franchement pas mauvaise du tout. D'ailleurs, on a finit la soupiere. Puis arrive le foie gras produit maison et là, excellent avec la fleur de sel. Puis vient le repas où vous avez le choix entre du confit et un magret servis avec des pommes de terre style salardaises. Tres bien également si ce n'est la disparité des morceaux. Ensuite, un bout de fromage de chevre d'un producteur local, puis pour finir, une glace...
We visited speculators with our daughter to show her the joys of a Ferme Auberge. We had the last three rooms and shared our table with a lovely French couple and their mother. The food was simply amazing from the soup and made at home... through the duck main to the cheese and made at home ice cream. They also served a house made aperitif and as much red wine as you can drink. The signs to the farm from the middle of the city are easy to follow, but once parked we have tried to find the entrance which is located around the back of the parking lot. It's just a few minutes walk from the train station to avoid anyone driving. We would recommend if you were in the area.
This is, quite simply, the best food I have ever eaten. Unfortunately I don't spend as much time as I used to in France but, whenever I do, this is the first place I visit. From start to finish, the food is incredible. Portions are generous and the quality is unbelievable. I just wish I could visit more often. Charmant endroit pour goûter aux saveurs du Périgord où nos hôtes ont éveillé nos papilles par une délicieuse soupe a l'ail, foie gras de canard maison, confit de canard avec ses succulentes pommes de terre salardaises et un dessert maison aussi délicieux! Found this place through an ad and I have to admit, the food is alrightI gave them three stars because their washrooms are pretty appalling.
