Ferme de la Rançonnière

This place used to have a ‘magical feeling’ while it is now ok it lacks a number of things. It didn’t provide water in the rooms, no shampoo or conditioner out TV was in Dutch (odd) and we couldn’t change it as it had no internet connection. The internet is awful and simply doesn’t work. The bar was manned sometimes. Our room 412 was so noisy that it doesn’t merit the cost. But it has parking for old cars which is great and safe and it is a superb location and a beautiful place. The dinner with half board was absolutely great thought it took us 40 minutes to be served. Lack of staff showed. It can do better with a very few good touches of luxury. This place looks great, but it's really not worth it. The food was well presented, but very dry. The quality of the service is decent (bread not on the table, when food was served, drops of wine served on the table after waiter), but waiters were very friendly. There are many other restaurants in the area with better quality and service.

We weren't at the hotel, we went to dinner. Beautiful building and good food, our best time in Normandy. Unlike the usual Posh French menu. Portions are quite small, but if you have a full-course dinner, you will probably not notice. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend to others to eat there.

The map is very limited and the fish was not yet available. Tuna, Tomahawk and Lammeintopf were ok, but secondary dishes sucked very hard. Such a disgrace, because the personnel are trying hard and the situation is excellent. Please enter the cook into the eggs and kick your game!!!

Limited menu, although dishes presented well cooked. Slow service, but good selection of quality wines through the glass.
