I absolutely adored the new menu at the Tavern. The food was the best it has ever been. We indulged ourselves because it was just so delicious. The customer service was excellent, the food was served promptly, and the wine menu was impressive. The Tavern has been revitalized with a fresh look while still maintaining its charm. Kudos to the new management, we will definitely be returning.
This place is awesome!!! Everything was perfect. My son loved his hot chocolate, which was a bit fancy. I had the buttermilk chicken, which rocked my socks. Hubby had the meatloaf. I hate meatloaf but now I am converted! Staff were lovely. We will be coming back. I never wrote reviews but this plane deserves it!
Definitely a place we would dine in again. We loved the burger and cant wait to have some more. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There is also a playground for kids just accross the tavern with beautiful tall trees. The ambience here is amazing. Would bring family and friends here.
Hearty meals on offer here and good selection of local beers. Check the daily specials or ask a staff. They’re recommendations we’re spot on. Love the ambience and fireplace. I 'd always recommend this pub for a meal a bevy. This time though....it was absolutely fantastic. There were two of us dining, our meals came speedily after ordering my 'Basic ' beef Parma ' was delicious. Cooked just as I asked it was quite busy too. Spot on!
Incredibly friendly staff, amazing food and deserts, coffee was perfect, log fires were exactly what the doctor ordered after a chilly drive up to Mount Wellington. Went in for a coffee, stayed for lunch, desert, more coffee and drinks!
Such friendly service and a homely feeling when you walk in. The meals are a great size and well priced. I love that everything is sourced locally as it supports our own. We have been several times now and will be visiting again soon.

The meals at this restaurant are amazing! The portions are huge, hot, and incredibly delicious. It's not your average pub food. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic. A must-visit in Hobart!
