Filippi's Pizza Grotto

We were really hungry after our hike and didn't want to wait for a table in San Diego due to time constraints. Thankfully, this place in Napa had no wait at all, which was perfect for us! However, we were disappointed to find that the pizza was quite greasy. The decor felt neither natural nor unique. On a positive note, the service was good. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return or recommend this place. Instead, I suggest grabbing some wine and cheese at the Oxbow Market across the street.

I didn't expect much from this low-key Italian restaurant, especially since we had to wait a while to be seated and then even longer to receive a menu. However, the staff was friendly, and the drink prices were quite reasonable! I ordered the chicken parmesan with spaghetti marinara, which was a generous portion and surprisingly tasty. While it's not fine dining, it offers solid American-Italian fare at a great price. Our entire meal for two, including two drinks, came to just $55!

The chicken Fett C&A A LA CARTE consists primarily of nuggets, which arrive soggy and unappetizing. The SPAGHETTI with meat sauce had no meat at all, except for what we added ourselves, and there wasn't enough of it, leaving us with mostly dry noodles. However, the CHEESECAKE was quite good.

The beef ravioli was tasty, though I would have loved more cheese in it. The garlic knots were delicious as well. I also appreciated the bread that came with the order.

The garlic knots were fantastic! This is definitely a great spot to visit. I really enjoyed seeing the family tree displayed above the register on the wall.
