This place is just ok. The pizza was very tasty. Our table ordered a chicken and spinach pizza. They were out of spinach. There is literally a grocery store about 2 blocks away down 6th Street so it blows my mind how a restaurant can be out of anything unless it is some specialty item. Tons of cheese and great flavor on the pizza. We substituted ham for the unavailable spinach. We also had a shrimp pasta dish, the veal parmigiana, and a prime rib plate. The proteins were all done well and tasty. The prime rib was tender, juicy, and medium rare just as ordered. Then came the side dish pasta and red meat sauce and the pasta with the veal. However, that’s where the experience took a downturn. The side dish pasta and the red meat sauce, as well as the pasta with the veal, were disappointing. The sauce had a strange aftertaste, reminiscent of raisins or prunes, lacking the expected flavors of garlic and basil. It was like going to a Mexican restaurant and finding terrible salsa. As always there is a wait, Sunday around 630ish, a bit longer then was told, and while we are waiting was told that there out of prime rib. I'm sure glad I was not positive on ordering that cause I have had it before and it was amazing, so we continue to wait because it had been already 30 min. Got sat after 40 min. I already put in the time and there food is so good. I absolutely love this place! The pizza is fantastic, the food is wonderful, and the portions are generous. It can get quite busy, and they might be a bit short-staffed at times, so be prepared to wait a little. Trust me, the food is definitely worth it! Also, the bread they serve while you're waiting for your meal is incredibly delicious—so good that you might find yourself snacking on it instead of saving room for your main dish!
Met a sweet couple Victoria Robert from Eastvale. Had prime rib petite cut, it was so good! Came w/garlic bread, sauteed mushrooms, I chose pasta w/ marinara. I had 3 meals, so much delicious food for such a great price! Thank you Sherry for waiting on me! You were a doll. Thank you Victoria and Robert, you are such a cute couple!!!
We had an excellent lunch today. The salad was exceptional—fresh, vibrant, and free of any brown leaves. It was complemented by olives, tomatoes, and a bit of purple cabbage. The main courses were generous in size and absolutely delicious. We definitely plan to return!
