Visited Fireside for an anniversary dinner while at Lake Murray. Don't know what all the hype is about this place. First off we thought this would have more of a lodge feel and were surprised to find they may try hard to make it look like a lodge but missed the atmosphere they try to make. Decor was less than a lodge feel. I had a chopped sirloin and hubby had a Top Sirloin. We have had better steaks in many other less expensive places. Neither steak had much of a flavor. Food was good, little pricey tho, they should have outside dining for the loud crowd that sat behind us, couldn’t hear any conversations between me and my date we even asked if we could sit elsewhere and management said there was no quieter place…. For the price it should be a quieter environment!

I had a difficult time cutting my ribeye steak, the salad was served in a small plastic cup like McDonald's, the shrimp was tough and overcooked, the service was average. My wife had to search for a restroom and overall we were very disappointed. This restaurant used to be much better.
My wife and me celebrated our anniversary having dinner there. The food was outstanding, we both had prime rib. The service was exceptional. We wanted for nothing. We were greeted by every staff member we ran into. Really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back.
we have been there for 39 years for our jubilee celebration. they are never disappointed! we are from Texas, but at the fireside in oklahoma is where the best steaks are. erdnussbutterkuchen is a must to go tradition.

Started going in late 80s. Haven't been there since 2011But food is still excellent. Try the prime rib and potato casserole. Went last friday.
We love this little gem on the lake…we drive up from Fort Worth to eat here. Best homemade dressings…blue cheese is our favorite.
