another wonderful meal in fischers of barlow hall. it was worth fighting with the snow to get there from chesterfield. I thought we had to cancel the booking. the personal is always welcoming and the place in the old house is gorgeous. our party of four had the main winter menu. our appetizers included salt-baked celeriac, tandoori guinea fowl and tempura crab. our main thing were pan roasted healed, roasted, sirloin steak and venison. I'm sorry, my description doesn't suit the complexity or the aromes of menu choices. we were there to celebrate the birthday of a hospitable, and the staff took up and presented him free chocolate and an icy birthday message. excuse them that we had to get out because of the weather, we would have liked to stay longer and enjoy coffee at the lounge log fire.
we live in cruck barn, the hut in the possession of the max and susan fischer at the moment it is a wonderful little holiday home and max and susan we are very welcome. what baslow hall- eating and service is amazing, so well we have eaten it 3 times in this week. we also ate at rowleys they own, which is also great. fischers baslow has eaten in over a dozen Michelin star restaurants fischers baslow with the best there. Don't go anywhere else, that's the peak of the peak district. we will be back:
This is one of our favourite restaurants anywhere! A beautiful old country house, set in lovely grounds, very tastefully decorated throughout, what’s not to like? However, Fischer’s excels in food and service! We’ve dined here for over 20 years and never, ever, been disappointed, not once! The menus change across the year and they have a first rate wine list. That combined with friendly, yet impeccably professional service make Fischer’s a truly memorable dining experience!
