Fish Chips - Reservar una mesa

Have been using this fish and chip shop for many, many years even though we now live in Staines, we still make the journey to enjoy the great fish and chips this shop is renowned for and been providing for a very long time. Unfortunately, it’s now under new ownership/management and it has sadly suffered badly as a consequence. Have tried it twice under the new regime and both times the fish was taken out of the top heated shelf. Before it was always cooked to order and was always worth the wait. Result was overcooked, over battered, very dry fish on both visits. Will now seriously contemplate taking my business elsewhere. Such a shame.

The guy that worked there before has left, it was 5* now It's not, so good went there last night, you could taste the oil on the fish, it was old and needed changing, the fish was big, but cut on the length, so it was thin, and it was the tail end, it was mostly batter, the chips were also on the hard side, and not fresh, it's a shame really it was a nice fish and chip shop, but its spoilt now sadly.

Arrived back at B/b and needed a quick late lunch . This place was recommended. We were very impressed. The guy gave us a few chips to eat while we were waiting which we have never had before. Then the fish was freshly cooked and the batter was lovely and crisp. The chips were not greasy either. A great find!

We stopped by this restaurant on a rainy night while staying at a nearby B&B. The staff was very friendly and the fish and chips were amazing. The portions were large and we couldn't even finish the fish, it was the best we've had. Thank you.

I am from Edinburgh and I visit my daughter that lives in your area every 2 years and I always ask her to order a chippy from you as you food is excellant, the fish is so amazing that I could have it ever day.

The restaurant offers a diverse menu that includes sausages and pies, but my favorite is always the fresh and flaky fish. The portion of chips on the side is generous.

Had cod bites and chips and was only charged £5. to much to eat, great value for money and well cooked will definitely be using again.

Cooked while you wait so no reheated food. Were not greasy as you get from other chippies. Friendly staff. Will definitely use again.
