On our way home in Mobile, AL, we stopped at the "Fish Shack" in West Point, MS. It’s a small place with wonderful staff, featuring just three tables. They have a significant carry-out business. We chose to eat inside, and the employees were fantastic! The food was delicious! We ordered fried catfish along with sides of fried okra, fries, coleslaw, and an extra order of fried green tomatoes—all of it was so good! Naturally, we had to grab some "to-go" boxes! We highly recommend "The Fish Shack" if you're passing through West Point, MS.

Don't be deceived by its small size and simple exterior. This place offers outstanding food at reasonable prices, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I ordered the catfish sandwich, and it was the best I've ever had! If you haven't been here yet, you absolutely should visit! I will definitely be coming back!

I ordered takeout, and the pan trout plate I got was enormous for just $12—enough food for two people! It was fantastic. The only issue was that when I used my debit card, they added an extra $1 charge. It wasn’t a big deal, but I would have appreciated a heads-up about it.

This is the best place to enjoy a whiting plate and tea cakes. The food is absolutely delicious, and I just love it! I highly recommend that everyone try it.
