This was our third visit to this restaurant, and each time has been a delight. We always receive a warm welcome, and the festive atmosphere with tasteful Christmas decorations added to the charm. The staff were all attentive and provided excellent service. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We enjoyed the crispy plaice and belly pork, both of which were exceptional. The tomatoes that accompanied the plaice were surprisingly flavorful. The apple and berry crumble was also a hit. We met friends who traveled 30 miles to meet us in the middle, and we appreciated that we were not rushed and could relax and chat at our leisure. We look forward to returning in the future.
I have been on a Gluten Free diet for four years and have really been craving fish and chips. When my group visited the Five Bells, we were pleasantly surprised to see gluten free fish and chips on the menu, which is a rare find. The dish was absolutely delicious, with a light and crispy batter and amazing flavor. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the pub itself is welcoming and beautiful. I will definitely be returning, and would highly recommend it to anyone who is gluten free. Great job to everyone at the Five Bells!
