Once I exited the bathroom, I didn’t see anyone immediately nearby, but there was a woman in the dining area. I approached her and politely asked her to repeat what she had said. She got uncomfortably close to my face and told me that the bathroom was for customers only. I responded by asking what made her think I wasn’t a customer, to which she replied that she had seen me there before. I corrected her, explaining that I had never been to this location before. She apologized but her attitude left me feeling that her initial approach was incredibly rude. I want to begin by saying that I've been a fan of Five Guys since it was a local chain in the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia area, and it was fantastic back then. I also love the NPR podcast "How I Built This." Their fries were inspired by Thrashers fries from Ocean City, Maryland. However, it's challenging for a once-small business to maintain the same high standards as it grows. The burgers and fries were decent, but I kind of wish they offered Old Bay seasoning. The peanuts are a nice distraction for kids, but keep in mind they use peanut oil, so it's not safe for those with allergies. Despite everything, I’ll likely return because of the convenience.
I was suppose to get a refund for them forgetting my food. Called the manager as I was instructed to and I cannot believe they gave that man a management role. The worst attitude and lack of leadership/communication I’ve ever experienced. He lied and told me I’d get a refund. I did not. He didn’t acknowledge anything I said. All he was worried about was how fast he can get off the phone with me. I have been in the food industry in the past so I understand how hard it can be but that manager is ridiculous and did nothing to rectify the situation. If you ever have any issues with them good luck he’s not gonna help. Pure laziness.
This is my neighborhood Five Guys. The staff is Outstanding, they are friendly and always happy to see me, the dinning area is always spotless, the bathrooms are clean. And the peanuts are great. These guys make the quintessential classic American burger nothing beats it hands down. Kudos to the staff they are killing it. I couldn't be happier that these folks are in my neighborhood. We placed an order here by mistake and called 9 times to have it canceled. All our calls were ignored. I hen drove 30 minutes out of my way getting the order we couldn't cancel to arrive at an empty establishment and be told they must have been away from the phone. This place is run by teens, try something else nearby rather than wasting time here, as I had to.
Overpriced. Average burgers now. They've always fallen apart by the second bite and I've never understood why they don't switch to a better bun. Burger seems thinner and smaller. The value is no longer there. Good service and a decent atmosphere but at $18 for a burger fries and a drink I'm tapping out.
Best Five Guys around! Very nice staff, made the best food, all the fries were hot, golden crispy both burgers had the perfect amount of bacon mayo. Store was very clean as well! I will be driving past my neighborhood Five Guys to come here from now on!Vegetarian options: Endless customization options!
