This has to be the most interesting ice cream place I've ever been too. I walked by it from my hotel at 3pm on a warm July Wednesday and happened to notice that both of their parking lots were nearly full. I was intrigued by that but thought it must be a misnomer because why would there be so many people at an ice cream shop... it's an ICE CREAM SHOP and we live in the world of dieting overload...!? A year ago, my wife underwent a stem cell transplant at Mayo Clinic due to blood cancer. During the two months we spent in Rochester, we often visited this place for their rich, creamy ice cream. Now, we're back for her annual follow-up and to celebrate her one-year remission anniversary! To this day, we still can’t determine whether it was the Flapdoodles ice cream or the transplant that helped her cancer cells go into remission. Personally, I lean towards the ice cream being the magic factor, so we're planning to indulge in plenty of it during this visit. Regardless of any medical theories, I can honestly say it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted, and the service is exceptional as well....
A good place to take the family with lots of flavors. I had a scoop of salty caramel and a scoop of chocolate and peanut butter. These tasted yummy together in the same cup. The ice cream is soooooo good! And it’s a good price, too! The staff was friendly, the store was clean and also really cute inside. This place is the bee's knees!Great location with lots of flavors, and the ice cream is so good! My husband and I shared two scoops, and it was hard to decide which flavor we liked more.Plenty of seating, plenty of parking, and really friendly staff.This is a must-must-must stop!!
My favorite flavor is lavender honey—it's so delicious! I also noticed a quirky decoration in the bathroom that added an unexpected twist. The tables had some amusing sayings as well!
The best ice cream in the Midwest! This place is a must-visit when you're in Rochester. They even offer gluten-free cones and dairy-free options. It's truly a local treasure!

This is the best homemade ice cream I've ever had! It's such a fun spot to visit on a hot day in Rochester, MN!
