In my opinion, fish and chips used to just be fish and chips. It was hard to tell which was good and which wasn't, aside from the freshness of the fries and the crunchiness. However, Flippin' Fish Chippery completely changed my view on that! I went there one evening and ordered the family pack. Not only did it have the perfect crunch and wasn't overly greasy, the fish was unlike any other I had tried before. I could tell it was fresh, which is ultimately what this establishment is known for.
Great food. Best fish n chips. Been coming for years and when we have guests who feel like fnc's we always go there and they are very impressed... Very good value. Feed 3 very hungry people the other day, there were left overs and all under $30. One person wrote that their meal was $37 or so and they order for one person only... I would've questioned that because obviously it was a mistake you goose!!! Highly recommend.
Love the chips- question the service. Okay, I come here all the time and I think the chips are the best I have ever had. However, the one woman (I'm sure everyone knows who I'm talking about) is so cold and rude, and acts no better towards here younger employees. I have also noticed an inconsistent amount of chips when ordering on varying days. But despite this, I still go back for the chips.
This is the best fish and chip place ever! Wouldnt go anywhere but flippin fish, even when we were renting in Canterbury!! Customer service is brilliant, they remember you and have a chat when picking up dinner! The fish and chips are never too oily and always crisp! You're missing out if you don't get down there! Friday nights at this restaurant always come with a long wait, which is to be expected at any fish and chip place. But let me tell you, the chips are worth it! They have the perfect crispy crunch on the outside and a light fluffy inside, never too oily or over salted. Definitely worth the wait on a Friday night!
Absolutely love the food. It is very busy so you need to call up and order beforehand. I don't understand some of the reviews about service, it is primarily takeaway food, not fine dining so the emphasis is on efficiency and they run it very well especially on busy nights.
Overall, the restaurant was nice but it's disappointing that they don't include a lemon wedge with the fish dish. It's a common practice at most chip shops and adds so much flavor to the meal. It's a shame they don't offer this small touch.
Great food, poor service. Always good fish and chips, but known in our house as 'mean lady fish and chips ' as the service is as abrupt as consistantly as the food is good. Happily, its take away so you can just enjoy your meal at home! Reserva una mesa ahora
I moved to the area afew weeks ago this is by far the best fish chips I've had! The staff are really friendly a nice clean shop. Can't wait to eat there again!
