Golly, yet another place in Chicago to get hot dogs, but the interior is classic kitsch. If you don't even like hot dogs, just go only to check it out. Flub A Dub Chub's is a place that will give you a chubby. Hot dog. There's also plant based ones, so anyone can shove a wiener in their mouth with no worries. Anyone who hasn't been here could have trouble finding it. It happens to be in the basement, down a set of stairs from Monsignor Murphy's. This is certainly quite a dingy place. No matter the location, no matter the name, this place is pretty serious about serving up a delicious, authentic Chicago dog. Small, intimate, and adorned with scores of patrons ' hand-made, cute, and clever drawings of every imaginable twist on their unusual name, Flub a Dub Chub 's is an icon of everything Chicago. Came here today with my boyfriend after having wanted to try it for months! This restaurant is a neighborhood staple, and now I understand the hype. They have a pretty long list of hotdog and hamburgers options to suit your fancy. I got the Flubby with fries which is their standard Chicago style hotdog with all the right accoutrements. It was phenomenal! Perfect amount of toppings and delicious hotdog. The fries were cooked perfectly as well. My boyfriend got a Flubby and a bacon cheeseburger also with fries and tater tots. Quality Chicago Dog!! I brought my best friend who was visiting out of town and was able to try a couple of items. It was also very cool for the employee to share why a Chicago Dog should not have ketchup on it. The tots were a little oily but crunchy and tasty. The fries were great, not too salty, and hot (which is very important to me)! The hot dogs were of quality ingredients including the original vienna and the spicy polish. Absolutely love!!! I could've eaten here every single day during my time in a Chicago. I love everything about this place. It's small but mighty and certainly packs a punch! It is definitely a mom and pop operation. I had the Saturday special which was a Chicago dog with a bag of chips for $7 bucks! What a steal! The staff were super nice and friendly. They have a wide variety of hot dogs and not just limit themselves to hot dogs. They have fries, tots, burgers, and chicken fingers. This place is a must if you're looking for a great Chicago dog.

The tater tots were delightfully crispy, well-seasoned, and served in a generous portion. The Chicago dog was expertly made, loaded with an abundance of toppings, including a generous sprinkle of celery salt and relish. On Tuesdays, they offer a combo deal for just $7! I enjoyed trying a new Chicago dog, and the atmosphere is lively, filled with fun hot dog-themed artwork (they even hold a weekly contest which is great to check out). Overall, it was a satisfying experience, and I'd be more than happy to return!

This spot serves some of the best hot dogs you’ll ever have! They offer an impressive variety of customer favorites, all made with top-notch ingredients. A highlight of the experience is Rosemary, the hostess and server, who is a delightful lady and the owner’s mother. She does a fantastic job managing the front of the restaurant. If you get the chance to visit, you definitely won’t regret it. It’s a truly classic Chicago hot dog joint! Don’t miss the great sign out front!

Really enjoyed the hot dog and fries at Flubs. Perfectly cool frankfurter with fresh ingredients and amazing fries as a side. One challenge that I had was the time it took to be served. I ordered a hot dog and fries and it took close to 25 minutes to be ready. It wasn't busy and there were plenty of people working. My guess is that I was prioritized over deliveries. Had the Chi dog dragged thru the garden with tater tots and a choco shake to go. Lots of other permutations on a bun on the menu, and hot 'talian beef too. Kind of funky sandwich space downstairs from a couple of drinking spaces. Walls decorated with outsider art subject hot dogs. Friendly service. Pretty quick too.

The best hot dog and service I've experienced! These guys truly care about their customers. The Chicago dog is unbeatable—definitely the best in town! Highly recommend!
