Fonduekeller - Reservar una mesa

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Hotel Adler. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the train station in Appenzell. We had the most amazing fondue in the hotel Keller. The hotel has been in the same family since 1825. The 7th generation is actively engaged in the hotel. Father and son welcomed us to the fondue keller. The service, atmosphere, music, and fondue was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel. The family is very welcoming of Americans and they speak excellent English. The summer fondue is very light and soft. It is made with champagne instead of white wine.

The Keller (cave) is very cosy and well kept. The furniture is all wood. The cutlery and the plates have traditional Appenzeller motives and they look very nice. We got there in the early afternoon and the cave was empty. They happily obliged, turned stuff on and served us a great Appenzeller fondue (the local specialty), which was just great. If you like IPA, do have a bottle of Alpstein Bock, the brewery is in the village. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

A great little restaurant with Italian cuisine to drink coffee. Delicious desserts. Large portions of salads. The place is quite crowded, there are hardly any empty tables. There is a terrace with sun protection. Opposite a church and a beautiful view of the mountains, nearby quiet streets of the city. There is a small parking lot with Tesla chargers for electric cars. Charging is free when ordering in a restaurant

Located in a 16th cellar, this fabulous family run restaurant had lovely staff, a charming chef who provided helpful suggestions about the menu and wines and amazing fondue in every variation imaginable. We loved this restaurant so much we ate here twice in 3 days, something I have never done before on a holiday. It was also packed with locals which is always a good sign.

They have a lovely cellar that reminds one of a wonderful wine cellar. The atmosphere is wonderful. The local Appenzeller cheese fondue in the fondue kellar is fabulous. Super friendly service and great fondue.

Two nights in Appenzell rounded off with a visit to this lovely establishment for what we had heard to be a must if in the area. We were not disappointed with the food or the local beer.

This was a special evening for our family celebrating my father 's life. The staff attention was wonderful as well as the best summer fondue made from the local appenzell cheeses!

The fondue in cave at Cafe Adler was the highlight of our daily trip of Appenzell. Food, atmosphere and people were all perfect. Many thanks to Matthias for his great service.

Amazing place!!! Best service in Switzerland! A beautiful family who attends you super nice!! Is really close to the town! Cakes are delicious!
