The first hint should have been the emptiness of the restaurant; I probably should have just turned around and left. Food Fanatics Kitchen may be the new best kept secret of Roanoke! It took a while to decide what to order because of numerous tempting choices. I am not easily impressed by restaurants; however, between their selection, pastries and other items made “in house”, local product support, and fresh menu items, they are clearly set for success. I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I have to say this place really disappointed me. I ordered the spicy fries, and they were just a few potato wedges with a couple of burnt jalapenos thrown in. I only managed to take two bites of my burger before giving up because it was awful—I didn’t think it was possible to ruin a burger! My fiancé ordered the crispy salmon, which turned out to be essentially frozen salmon served with a bland cream sauce and raw onions. I've dined here a few times, and while the food is decent, I likely won't return after my most recent experience. I called in an order for pickup—a simple chicken sandwich with a side salad. When I arrived to collect my order, they charged me over $16. When I asked about the price, they explained that the addition of onion on my sandwich cost an extra $1.50. A) It would have been helpful to know about that charge when I requested the onion. B) Is that onion infused with gold? Who charges that much for a simple topping?

It has been A while since I?ve been there last. And they really seem to have stepped up their game. The menu offerings were a nice variety with all levels of price points. We got two of the salads and the lobster bisque soup. The soup was a little disappointing because it didn?t seem to have any lobster and there was curry in it. The salads were outstanding. The presentation was beautiful. I need to add this back in my regular rotation.

We visit this restaurant quite often, and it never disappoints! The food consistently impresses, as do the attentive wait staff and the variety of drinks. The setting is lovely, situated in a neighborhood yet feeling like an escape. Dining outdoors, you almost forget you're in the city, and the ambiance truly captivates you.

First time in and random pick. Food was perfect. I had the Triple B Burger. Excellent food presentation, very attractive meals that were perfect and no one (5 at the table) ordered the same meal. This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, with friendly staff and a pleasant outdoor dining area. I was surprised to see it wasn't busier on a Friday night, but since it opened just before the pandemic, it's still relatively new. I definitely recommend giving it a try; they deserve to attract some loyal customers!

I wished I would have come for dinner instead. We came for lunch where there were only panini's and pizza being served on the menu. But the hubby and I had a nice lunch. Their bar options are amazing. Go for dinner if you want to be wowed!
