I visited for lunch on a Wednesday, and while the food was decent, it was significantly overpriced for the experience. My boyfriend and I waited over 45 minutes for our meals. Meanwhile, other tables that arrived after us received their food long before we did. On top of that, he had to wait over 10 minutes just to get a simple tea refill. As we were contemplating leaving after such a long wait for our sandwiches, someone (not our waiter) finally informed us that there had been a mix-up with our order and the kitchen never received our ticket. At one point, we were close to leaving after such a long wait for our sandwiches when someone (not our waiter) finally informed us that there had been an issue with our order and the kitchen never received our ticket. We were told it wasn’t the waiter’s fault, but were offered no compensation or apology for the lengthy wait—just an excuse. The table next to us ended up giving up on trying to get takeout boxes they had requested multiple times from their waiter. To be fair, it was busy, but the poor service and lack of any acknowledgment of mistakes made this a disappointing choice in Orange. I wanted to add to my review from a more recent visit in which we both had the filet mignon and absolutely loved it. I haven't had many filets, so I'm not speaking as an expert on preparation, but as someone who loves beef, the flavor was amazing. I think it might have just been rubbed with salt and pepper, maybe something else too, or maybe it was marinated, but we both asked for medium rare and the doneness was perfect. The place was also very lively on a Friday night, which we enjoyed, and I had a new cocktail, the Smoky Highland, which was quite interesting and sweet (true to the rest of the cocktail menu). My husband took me here for an anniversary dinner. The restaurant is really cute and cozy. Service is decent. The calamari is delicious! Our entrees however were..interesting. My husband ordered the steak and we were surprised by the plating. His steak was cut in half and place on opposite sides of the plate. It was also super rare and the fat was not rendered. I’ve never seen a steak entree where your steak comes pre cut. It was just odd. Both times we have come here our entrees were bland and underwhelming. We had another wonderful date night at this cozy and eclectic restaurant! It truly has everything you need to kick off a lovely evening. I was pleasantly surprised to discover fig vodka, which adds an amazing twist to the Mediterranean mule. The shrimp and grits were incredibly satisfying and more than enough to fill you up. My husband enjoyed the pork loin with hominy topped with bacon, which was cooked to perfection. We wrapped up the night with homemade ice cream on top of the apple crumble—maybe they could serve the ice cream on its own as a little cup of heaven!

As someone with celiac disease and a wife who is gluten intolerant, we felt immediately welcomed upon entering the restaurant. The owner assured us that they take precautions to ensure a safe dining experience. While they are not a dedicated gluten-free establishment, they are very knowledgeable about food allergies. Our server was attentive and friendly. The lobster bisque, beet and goat cheese salad, NY strip, and filet were all exquisite. I would definitely return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5.

We always have an amazing experience at Forked on Main. Every item on the menu is delightful, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is wonderful. The owner and chef make a genuine effort to ensure that their guests have an exceptional time. Don't forget to try the seasonal drink menu as well; it won't let you down!
