Forn Bar Restaurant

This is a review of the newly relocated Margoux's. It is situated in a great location in the city center, and booking is essential for drinks. Upon arrival, we asked to go up to the terrace for drinks and were informed that our table would be ready soon. The view of the cathedral from the terrace is beautiful. The bar and terrace on the upper floor were smaller than expected, but the table service was excellent. We had booked for 7:30, but at 7:40 we asked our server to check on our table. The restaurant served generous portions of food despite its smaller size. There was a wide variety of drinks available. The service was quick and attentive, with professional and friendly waiters. The atmosphere was lively, but slightly crowded - I would have preferred more space between the tables. The decor was a mix of retro, modern, and unique. The prices were a bit high, but not unexpected. They do not offer an NHS discount yet. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time as it tends to be busy. The staff could improve on hand sanitizing practices. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely return.

We were greeted with a smile immediately upon arrival. The food was excellent, and we indulged in dishes from the lunch menu. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed a great view from the cocktail lounge on the top floor.

Food is absolutely gorgeous everytime I’ve visited! We’ve just visited for a birthday and good was just incredible, service was great, and the Negronis went down lovely! Big thanks to Caroline and her team!

one of the best meals I had for many years. the personal knew his things and recommended wee, a red zinfandel, was excellent. if they are in exeter, they should try.
