Fortina - Reservar una mesa

We're here four times now. The first visit was pizza and drinks that were great. The 2nd visit they had to compose our entire meal for 10 because it took over an hour to get our entrees. Other groups came after us, got their food and left. The server and the manager came and said our meal would be soon and it took 30 minutes more. But the food was very good. The third visit, our pizza, the only article we ordered lasted 45 minutes in a half empty restaurant. We had to put it in box, or we would have been too late for a concert. Yesterday the food was bad. The Caesar was iceberg instead of Romaine and the dressing was tasteless. The carrots were well roasted, but were covered in a walnut crem...

The food was very good. But the waiter had a very unwelcoming attitude. I asked for a towel to wipe off a big puddle on the table. He told me I should have waited to be seated so he could have given me a clean table. But there was no one at the door when we came in. No podium, no sign. And the place was pretty much empty. He told me that you should ask to be seated at any restaurant. He wiped off the table, but there was still a sticky spot. While I was at the restroom, my friend asked him to clean it and he gave him the same attitude . He showed impatience while we were ordering and brought our food at all different times. Yesterday was my first, but certainly not my last, visit to this restaurant. For years Patsy's on 1st Ave between 117th and 118th Steet in Manhattan was top on my list. However, they now are placed 2nd since my visit to Fortina's. I want to thank all for a very personal experience. The staff were very professional and obviously enjoyed working there. The dining area was huge and the cleanliness was exceptional. But the taste of the fresh pizza EXCEEDED my expectations. I look forward to future visits here. We came to the weekends after we found this place in a mood. The service is great and has not been overcrowded to deceive us from the arrival. The food was great on time and above all. Mitch was really nice and accommodating. ll absolutely throw Fortina in the rotation!

Excellent service. The pasta was too al dente (in 2 types of pasta dishes), but the sauce was very good. Pizza was also good.
