To put it simply, their menu includes a dedicated section for American-style Chinese cuisine. Additionally, you’ll notice that there’s more Chinese writing than English on the menu—this isn’t just for show. We were the only white patrons in the restaurant. I really can’t comprehend why it’s named like that. Maybe they wanted to cater mostly to the typical Americanized Chinese food market while maintaining their own identity. After all, fortune cookies themselves are essentially an American invention! I’ve genuinely never been happier to be proven wrong! Once you try this place, you’ll likely want to return again and again.
I would definitely go here if you're craving something spicy, unique, flavorful, or just plain American Chinese food. The outside seems a little sketchy but the food is great. I really enjoyed their veggie dishes, spare rib dishes, and noodles. The only complaint we had was that there was stuff in our water and the fried chicken with chilli peppers seemed old bc the chicken was dry and hard to eat. The dishes are generally very good! I really enjoyed the shredded potato with salted egg( 咸蛋黄土豆丝）and boiled beef（水煮牛肉）. I'll keep coming back until I've tried every single dish on the menu. Visited with a large group, the food wasn’t as great when compared to my previous dinning experience. Not much AC in the hot summer night and they need to keep the fans clean, too dusty. From the outside this place is not outstanding. The inside is old and tired which is why I deduct a star. Food alone is 5 star. The mutton, tangerine beef, fish, fried rice and string beans were the best we’ve ever had. If you want authentic, this is the place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30
My Chinese girlfriend wanted to visit this restaurant because it had received positive reviews, but she wasn't impressed and said she wouldn't return. I found the food to be decent, but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Overall, I would rate the food as a 3, the service as a 3, and the ambiance as a 2.
