It would be generous to give a cafe like this even one star. The food is overpriced and at best average and even more so the management running this place really let it down which is a shame for the other staff working there who are friendly. For a neighbourhood cafe the management team are especially vicious and lack poor customer service skills, threatening, provoking and basically telling anyone who complains about their food or services an idiot brandishing their reports as 'bizarre ' and false. The café is located in a beautiful hidden square in London and has a charming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the coffee was not up to par, with bland taste and low-quality ingredients. The experience was further marred by the rude and arrogant staff. Despite arriving just three minutes after 4pm (which apparently was considered late), we were abruptly told that coffee wasn't being served. Even when questioning the status of the coffee machine, we were met with dismissive responses. The server was overheard complaining loudly about our tardiness, which was unprofessional. I have been visiting the cafe on and off for 5 years now. It had always been a lovely place to eat and drink coffee with friends, but sadly the staff have become incredibly rude and unwelcoming. They refused me a sandwich, even though I was in the queue before 3 (when apparently they stop serving) and were very pompous in the way they mumbled “food stopped at 3”. You’re a small independent cafe that should really be a bit kinder to your locals. It’s not hard to find some staff who don’t look and act like they can’t be bothered to be there. Staff used to be so welcoming and lovely.
I went to this restaurant for tea and cake, but they wouldn't serve me tea in my reusable cup, claiming it was unhygienic. I politely suggested that they could use a tray or mug to fill my cup without touching it. Their response was odd and rude, saying that coffee is flown across the world so why was I concerned about disposable cups. This was the worst response I have ever received in regards to this issue. Just to clarify, I asked for tea not coffee, and coffee is typically shipped by ship, not plane. One bad practice does not justify another. It's a real shame.

The negative response from the cafe to online criticism speaks volumes. It's shocking how a cafe can be so rude to customers. I felt very uneasy trying to order a coffee and receiving a sharp reply. I wouldn't visit this place again even if it was the only coffee shop left on earth.
The restaurant has two benches outside and an open counter facing the street, making it easy to order without any hassle. The staff members were very friendly, and they offered vegan donuts and banana bread. It was a really charming experience!
Amazing space, although it’s tiny it’s very welcoming. The team are always really nice chatty. The coffee is the best in the area and food offerings are delish. Always feel really welcomed and valued. Keep up the good work team fowlds.
This small coffee shop etc. is not far from the home of our London based son and it is certainly not closed! It seems to be just takeaway (for the moment? , but serving great coffee (Climpson’s and pastries with a matching smile.

Banana bread with almond butter is tasty. Good coffee and a variety of non dairy milks. The menu shows vegan options for every group of meals. When busy (Saturday morning) expect delays in being served.
This local coffee shop has a great hipster vibe and is definitely worth a visit. I would recommend it for their good coffee and selection of pastries in a cool converted space.
