Entered and saw no sign saying wait to be seated etx, thought we just sat where we wanted. Was told to go back to the bar and order a drink before we ate. So we did. When it was time to find a table, the same pedson then told us their kitchen may be closing due to the time of day... but could squeeze us in again nowhere did it say it closed mid day. It was a weekend and in the menu it said open all day. The food was nice but the prices on the menu and on the website didn 't match the price we were charged and then when I brought it up they said we are changing our prices and that 's how much it is . It was a bit dissapointing, we came here to try a new place but don 't know if I would return...
Very friendly welcoming country pub with excellent pub food. Laid back friendly atmosphere with helpful informed staff for information on nearby Northallerton market town. We visited in Motorhomes and had a pleasant walk into Northallerton for the market, shops and pubs. Water and elsan available for stay overs. Had very nice evening meals and drinks before setting down in lovely park location for quiet night. Recommended. Will definitely visit again.
We have just enjoyed a fabulous Turkey Christmas Dinner at the Fox Hounds followed by a delicious christmas pudding and panacotta .. then coffee by the logburner thankyou so much to all the staff for excellent service great value and a warm friendly welcome 5 Country Pub
Had a great meal here today. The BEST chicken flatbread in Northallerton, so delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my sticky toffee pudding and my partner tried the special Banoffee Pie and said it was fantastic. Great surroundings and friendly staff!

Stopped for lunch today and the food was brilliant. I had sweet sour chicken chips (the sauce was on the side and thick tasty) and my wife had the thai fishcakes with a portion of chips. Really good value 5 Stars. We'll be back!
The last time visited was 30 years ago. The atmosphere was lovely, loved how it had small rooms to dine in. Food and service was very good. A proper pub.
Always have nice staff, and the owner is a very nice lady. Food was very nice, and the whole area looks very nice clean and tidy
