Better than the hill! You have a rotating menu of specials (usually 3 per month or something) so there is always something new to try to fall back, plus old favorites. Great atmosphere, servers are long-term professionals, and every single darn thing I've tried is amazing. Entries run for most items about $20-$35. Extensive drink menu, but also the house wines were great. They treat groups of 8 without problems. I propose to make a reservation as they are busy. Dessert menu is amazing, I recommend the chocolate ravioli. Plan for about 2 hours if you contain drinks and dessert. Maybe a little more if you have a big group. The meal has good plasters, but be sure to have enough time to enjoy th...

It was two decades and the food is still delicious. Our server wouldn't have been nicer! Appetizers consisted of: Funghi con Lumache Four buttons mushroom caps filled with (many) snails, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and fennel butter sauce. The sauce was excellent and escargot so delicate. Scarola (A House Specialty) Crisp, Flash roasted escarole greens with Parmigiana cheese. I wish the Parmesan was blown at the end of the lightning instead of being cooked together. Nevertheless, a great start vs traditional salad. Entrees were Fatuccine con Pollo alla Panna, slightly grilled chicken breast, with Parmigiana cheese in a light cream sauce. I couldn't get my mind between the Ziti Putanesca, in a...

Best food I?ve had there in 30 years. I stopped going 15 or so years ago because I just didn?t like anything that I tried but decided since it was a block from my house I?d give it one more try. I was more than pleasantly surprised and happy. I found that the restaurant was recently sold to the main Chef Rob. My dinner was to die for. The only complaint I had was after getting my dinner the bartender had absolutely no interest in if I needed anything at all. My glass of wine was almost done before I received my meal and no asking if I needed another. Since I was the only person at the bar, I find this unacceptable but the fabulous meal made up for her below standard service. Will definitely...

The food was very good and the service was generally also good. For this reason I would recommend it and I will probably return. However, this is not a place to celebrate your birthday. I understand I should call first to ask if I could bring a cake or not. But I've never had this experience in the St. Louis restaurant. Sometimes it's about making your customers happy and showing you take care of a special day. It's not a birthday cake that will end your business. I think it's possible to do better.
