Frankenheim Im Burgerhaus

Early evening on a hot sunny day this summer we - like what seemed like all other Ratingers - decided to eat al fresco. So far I had only ever come here for a drink, which is always pleasant. It is simply lovely to sit in a picturesque market square with a quality drink and watch the world go by.However when we visited it was busy and we only just managed to find a table.Like all good taverns the Burgerhaus has waitress service. In our case, actually it was waiter service which I believe was the real problem, not the volume of visitors. The young man was too busy chatting rather than serving. Always crowded with diners during good weather outside with many tables and umbrellas. Have had lunch outside many times and dinner once inside in November.Service inside is fast and the food is tasty. Service outside is slower, but the food still tastes good. German cuisine is on the menu with pork, potatoes and cabbage, wether it be coleslaw or sauerkraut, it's all good! Prices are midrange and they do take credit cards, at least inside...outside, you're better off with cash. Inside we sat on a long table for our party of 6 and had a great time.Will definitely visit again.

This is a great little place - if it's warm then you can eat outside in the square, if not then inside which has a great atmosphere.The staff are very friendly and their English is much better than my German.Food is varied and traditional German fare, and there is a good selection of local as well as national beers.All in all great to visit on a warm Summer evening in the square...

Good food, if nothing happens in the hall. The day offers good and cheaper. The selection of beers tapped could be richer. If you want something to make you noticeable, otherwise you can easily forget. All in all good for a cozy and social visit. Reserva una mesa ahora

I asked for a couple of beer and they bring us their dark brew. It is good but a little too bitter for my taste. Anyway if you end up staying in this town, don't miss this and all the brewer houses around.

We had a dinner and a late lunch here - both times the food was very nice, and their location is ideal for sitting outdoors and enjoying the summer sun. Service was ok but could have been friendlier.

Busy beirhaus in the centre of town. Frankenheim Alt on tap,plus usual pils and a good range of food - i love currywurst and this serves up a reasonable version. Its not Berlin buts pretty good.

Eating either inside or in the square is a joy compared to the UK. Staff and locals are friendly and the food and beer are excellent. Try it if you want to get out of that hotel! Reserva una mesa ahora

Lovely staff, really friendly. great German beers and the food was delightful. We had the schnitzel and the Pork Knuckle. Food was served very quickly.

Service was great, food was wholesome. Good price..would recommend. English not great, but menu in English and staff very helpful.
