Outdoor parties are big at this time of the year, so I will make a few posts by popular caterers. Frankie's Family Restaurant is one of them, with their famous hot dogs on the backyard, along with hamburgers, onion rings and fries. The staff uses a grill, a double freezer and folding tables for plates, plastic and toppings. We went to a birthday party yesterday that Frankie used for her event, and the food was exactly what you want in a sunny afternoon. Is this the best hot dog joint on the planet? Nope- however compared to most others in CT , it does stand out. Previously went to the mall location which sucked horribly, this is a dine in restaurant with drive up facilities. The service here is bar none the absolute best, kind polite staff, they genuinely appreciate your business. Attention to detail oriented, tons of options- had a regular dog and a #14 which is chili n coleslaw, the dog its self isn?t as flavorful as a Nathan?s dog per-say, but juicy. This is a great little place. The staff are so nice and friendly, right from the people taking your order to when they bring it to your table. They even asked if we wanted drink refills and brought that to the table too! The place was also very clean and they kept it that way. I was thinking a little hotdog place would have 'OK ' food but it was way better than that. The food was really good! I got the chicken philly and it came out piping hot and very tasty. We all know how good Frankie's is, so I don't need to echo that. But I wanted to commend this particular location for their outstanding customer service, especially with the curbside option. Even if it's busy, they NEVER, EVER get an attitude or leaveyou feeling neglected or dissappointed. Other fast food places should take notes because Frankie's does a stellar job when itcomes to customer service. (I only wish the drive-up situation here was easier, as it's tough to pull in and out and then wraparound to the fire lane, but again, the customer service makes up for it). Skip that dump Burger King and come here instead.

Everytime I call I get someone picking it up doesn?t say anything and left waiting for 10 mins. Hang up and the phone is busy. When I ask the young woman behind the counter( dirty blonde pony tail) she says yea ik the phone is off the ringer, its busy.You?re a business this is what Frankie?s has done for yrs. Food is great but attitude is horrible, Fire the girl and get staffwho wants to work.
What a fabulous find! This little place had friendly and efficient service, (Thank you manager Joe! it was spotless, and the food was delicious. I was on a road trip across New England and wanted to stop for a lunch break at someplace with a local flair. I could not have picked a spot with a better vibe nor better food. I will make this a regular stop on all my trips from now on!
Used to work here in high school. Classic 1/2 bacon cheese burger LTM. Nice to know this place still bangs. Only problem was that the bun broke because I was holding the burger too aggressively.

Consistently great food. Great selection of different style hotdog toppings. Highly recommend the West Virginia dog. Nice atmosphere.
Frankies, always a great meal. From the dogs to the awesome lobstah roll, you can't go wrong!
