Franks Diner - Reserva de mesa

Absolutely amazing small town rail car diner. The locals are incredible and worthy of a television series based on them and this place. The woman that handles the griddle is fantastical and hilarious and full of intrigue and mystery and I want to be her friend immediately. I think her name is Julie and she is mentioned on the t shirts staff wears although I might be wrong about everything I just wrote. I ordered the garbage plate and it came with homemade bread with butter. I talked to the owner sitting at the entrance upon leaving and he was a cool cat. Will definitely be back someday unless Julie quits.

Had a breakfast here, what a fantastic place old railroad car style dinner. Being from England i thought dinners like this were on every street but this is only the second one I’ve seen and first I’ve ate in. We passed on Sunday lunchtime and it was really busy but I went early on a morning and it was quiet. The breakfast was really nice good sized portion and very tasty. Staff were friendly and kept topping up my coffee that a good start to any day.

So for starters I got a full garbage plate and toast like I’ve done for years. When I opened my to go container I was disappointed to say the least. The full garbage plate used to be that I’d open it to a full container. This time it wasn’t even covering the bottom of the container. Not to mention I used to pay $13 now. This time it was $18 for less food. Call me crazy if you want but definitely not worth the hype anymore which is super unfortunate.

The history here is almost as awesome as the breakfasts. This is another must-stop destination when we are in the area. If you have not experienced a breakfast at Frank’s, you are seriously missing out. Get up early and come visit!! You won’t regret getting up early just to get a good table to visit. I ordered an omelet with American fries, and while the meal was excellent and very filling, the personalities of the staff are really what shine here. Everyone we interacted with was an absolute delight- funny, sweet, and a joy to be served by. I think the decor is tacky, but who cares?
