Frank's Steak & Schnitzel Haus

The atmosphere and service were great. The buffet sounded wonderful, offering a great selection,therefore no need to read the menu and make a decision. It was looking like a great dining experience was to be had. Then we went to the buffet. The food was gross to mediocre. The beef tasted steamed, the roast potatoes were hard. The salmon was ok. The ribs had good flavour and also tasted steamed but not as bad as the beef. Veggies soggy and lacking flavour. The coleslaw was acceptable. Beets, which I assume came from a can, was the best choice there.There were other selections that we did not try. Even the deserts did not get a wow.

One of the best places to eat in Cranbrook! Their weekday bistros and friday buffets are very good. Always great and friendly service. *But i do have to say their weekend dinner buffets are WAY over priced. Hubby took me out for Anniversary dinner, which was a buffet, was $90 NOT including drinks. Guess we should have asked the price first. Wont make that mistake twice. And wont go to their dinner buffets $45 a person was a little much for what they had. ****

Worst meal ALL 4 of us have ever had! Schnitzel was large, but so thin, so hard and overdone, breading was ****.
