In from Philly, wanted to try. First, I called was speaking to what seemed to be the owner. Very cool with me I appreciate someone who has patience over the phone to answer my ?s. So 10minutes later I was there. Great easy parking. Walking in waiting at the counter, the gentlemen came to assist me. Again, pleasant helpful. I ordered veg fish with barbecue jerk, 3 pieces topped with slice lemon my Mac cheese on side. I was very happy with my meal. I placed a to go order online for 2 fried salmon, 1 grilled shrimp, and 1 fried shrimp dinner. Upon arrival, the young lady at the register was very friendly and my order was prepared on time. Unfortunately, after a 20 minute drive home, I discovered that all of the entrees were grilled. The mac and cheese, string beans, jollof, and kale caesar salad were good. I would only recommend the plantain fries when they are hot. Disappointed I didn't get what I ordered.
I have to admit, I was not impressed with the flavors of the food at this restaurant. The vegan fish was average, but the kale Caesar salad was surprisingly delicious. The Mac and Joloff was outstanding. The customer service was excellent and the ambiance was pleasant. Perhaps I just made the wrong choices when ordering. I might give this place another chance in the future.
I was truly impressed by this restaurant. The comfort food they offer is outstanding, and it is definitely a hidden gem. I especially enjoyed the signature lemon chicken and plantain fries. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be my go-to spot. I will definitely be returning.

Visiting from out of town and my sister recommended this spot. The food was SO GOOD. Love that they have so many delicious vegan options...and non-Vegan options for the hubby. I got vegan fish with the barbecue rub. Hubby got the grilled salmon pita with the lemon pepper rub. I also tried the ginger pineapple drink and it was AMAZING. We will definitely be back!
Wow wow wow. Fantastic meal at Freetown on Saturday night. Came in with a big group and they could not have been more welcoming; they set up the dining room to ensure we could enjoy our meals while still being safe. Chicken, fish, vegan...all outstanding. Big shout out to Skylar for going above and beyond.
There has been a noticeable change in the Kale Caesar Salad with shrimp. While the food is still delicious, there was something special about the salad that didn't require any dressing. Now, I had to add dressing to it. Please bring back the original recipe.
Food was still nice and hot by the time I reached home. It was delicious, no complaints Portion size was very good for the price . Customer service was good, I called in my order and the gentleman who answered the phone took time to explain the menu

The restaurant offers delicious food with generous portions. We tried the signature chicken with jerk sauce and rice, accompanied by a tasty salad. Currently only offering takeout, but we are eager to dine in soon.
Jerk chicken and jerk shrimp both excellent. Don't miss the amazing kale caesar. Lovely girl working register. Will be back.
