Found this place on a whim and can firmly say its some of the best food I've ever had. It was my family and I's first taste of Afghani food and now I'm obsessed with it. The Qabili Palau(Afghanistan's nation dish for a good reason) is such an experience, I was skeptical about the raisins in the rice but it paired amazingly. Get the lamb shank with it, the meat stays super tender and steamy because they bury it under the rice. The mantu is also one of the best things I've put in my mouth, it's always gone within seconds. And the chicken kebab... I had no idea chicken breast could be so juicy and tender, not an understatement when I say it's the best way to eat chicken I know of. The prices ar...
Tried this place while visiting Fremont and it’s good! Bolani was awesome as a appetizer and kabab mix tasted good too! Also Firni was good ! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a halal afghan restaurant restaurant in Fremont. Parking is free but a little tight, there are other shops next to it and parking gets taken away pretty fast. Service is good, servers are polite but takes a bit of time when attending you, can speed it up a bit. Overall it was a 4/5 experience.
This restaurant is lovely. The food is authentic. The Chaplin kabob is a bit more like a hamburger, while the authentic Chapli has more vegetables, coarse coriander seeds, and a slice of tomato on top. The rice was delicious. The kabobs were fantastic. The sheer yaks (Afghan Ice Cream) is basically vanilla, but the authentic version has a hint of rose water. The service was excellent.
This is one of the only restaurants in the area open past 9 PM and we got there at 8:30 PM. Server promptly gave us a table but we were not able to order until 20 to 30 minutes later, although they did give us a basket of bread before. The food at this restaurant was excellent, with generous portion sizes. The dolma was delicious, and the Lamb Qabili Palau was particularly impressive with its large portion size. The lamb was cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. The chicken curry was also very enjoyable. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
