I typically love this place but, I came here a while ago and asked for my usual order which I gladly received. My food was pretty cold and wasn 't fresh at all. I believe that the food is made at least a day before it is reheated and sold. The employees weren 't friendly at all, couldn 't even keep eye contact, and kept shouting to others in the back of the restaurant about passing out drunk last night. Definitely wont come back here any time soon. Very irresponsible, loud, boisterous, horrible customer service. I couldn 't even eat in piece. I was really hungry while taking care of some business, and I happened to notice that Waba Grill was nearby. I hadn't been there in quite some time, and I could see that some things had changed, mostly for the better. The young lady who took my order, Jackie, was very helpful and friendly. I decided to try the salmon salad with extra avocado. While it was decent, the salmon was cooked a bit too much for my liking, and I didn't receive enough salad dressing—just two half-cups, which wasn't very satisfying.
I attended a birthday party at this restaurant, and it seemed that all the staff were focused solely on that event from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, which meant there was no bar service available. Once the party ended and regular service resumed, I found the margaritas to be quite disappointing. It felt like they struggled to manage hosting a party while also operating as a full bar; they seemed overwhelmed and could only effectively handle one of these responsibilities at a time.
The atmosphere here is truly Southern and soulful. The drinks are excellent, and there's live music to enjoy.

Be cautious when ordering chicken dishes at this restaurant. They use very low-quality chicken meat.
