This is the place to be in Teignmouth. We arrived in the town 2 days prior, in January, and realised most of the restaurants were shut, apart from some takeaway places. So we decided to cook at the rental and were planning on doing that all week. Then, last night, we passed in front of L'Invidia... There were people inside and they looked happy! So we joined them and it turned out to be the best decision to end my birthday. The host was charming and funny, jumping from table to table, making everyone feel like you're in his dinning room. I dined with a friend last night and was greeted by a lovely and welcoming owner and staff. The restaurant has a stylish vibe with a beautiful retro feel and a warm atmosphere. While the menu doesn’t offer a vast selection, the dishes we tried were outstanding, with perfect portion sizes that allowed us to enjoy a starter, main course, sides, and dessert without feeling overwhelmed. We enjoyed a lovely glass of Pinot Grigio, and to top it off, we were treated to complimentary lemon and coffee at the end of our meal. Additionally, the restrooms were very clean and stylish; I particularly loved the stone sinks!
We arrived without a reservation, and the staff was very accommodating. They were able to impress us at the last minute. I ordered the seabass, which was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. The dish was a delightful representation of the sea’s bounty. Although it was slightly smaller than I expected, it was very satisfying and incredibly tasty. I highly recommend visiting this charming Italian restaurant; the staff is attentive and helpful. The food is great, the ambiance is lovely, and it's definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine prepared by a native Italian chef (Antonio), paired with the exceptional hospitality of Italian Flo, you can't go wrong with what these two have created. The atmosphere here is incredible—warm and welcoming. The food is fresh, with plenty of variety, including pasta and traditional pizza, with gluten-free options available as well. It's just amazing. Booked a table at L'invidia with my friend and we had a fantastic evening! With fresh bread on the tables upon arrival and the amazing Flo to put a smile on your face, this lovely Italian restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The food is delicious and very authentic. I will be returning!
Went here for dinner and we were welcomed with open arms. The waiter was very nice and very accommodating. The food was exceptional. The pizzas were tasty and filling. There was very little waiting time for food and drinks. Proper Italian food! I’d highly recommend to any one
