Being part of the seafood shop is a winner for these guys turning out quality sushi. They know their lane and stick to it well. Not over saucey their rolls are tasty and well prepared. Packed with good fresh ingredients you won't go wrong. If...you're looking for pure play sashimi this is you place. Delicate cuts of tuna is my preferred option. Table seating is limited and nothing to rave about, it's not that type of place. They make a deliciously fresh fish and chips option too which should be given a run too. Get involved and support these guys. Don't expect the bill to be low end either they charge for their quality product but I'm ok with that too.
We love coming to this restaurant for their freshly made sushi rolls. Our top picks are the rainbow sushi (made with tuna, salmon, and white fish) and the salmon avocado roll. Occasionally, they also have moreton bug rolls available. The fish is perfectly marinated, the rice is seasoned perfectly, and you can really taste the freshness of the seafood. Some people might say that fresh fish shouldn't have a fishy smell, but in this case, the fish tastes exactly like it should - like fish. This is a sign of well-made sushi with delicious umami flavors.
This informal eatery in the James Street food precinct serves fresh, tasty, and delicious Asian (mainly Japanese) food with a focus on seafood. The menu includes freshly made sushi, made-to-order sushi, prawn rice paper rolls with wakame, vermicelli, and greens served with a sweet chilli sauce, and a variety of other freshly made dishes like tempura prawns and wagyu beef. The food is of good quality but does come at a higher price. Additionally, The Fresh Fish Co also sells fresh seafood for customers to take home and prepare.
We've been to Fresh Sushi Co for a few times and while during my earlier visits I felt they were a bit too pricey, today I was craving for sashimi and felt I really got my money's worth because of the freshness I could taste...with every sashimi. I also love the fact the place is very casual for the standard of sashimi they serve, and I don't need to get all dressed up just to have sashimi for dinner :D Overall rating for this venue: Food Ambience Service Value for money Overall

This was our first stop on our food trail day. It is right next to (and is probably owned by) the Fresh Fish Co. Have to say the sashimi was amazingly fresh. As you'd expect. We also had miso soup, which cost and...was probably one of the biggest disappointments of the day. Was very small serve and nothing special. Other than that it was great and it got pretty packed on the Sunday lunchtime we went.
While we were in the area searching for a butcher shop and feeling a little hungry, we decided to stop by this place. It's more of a cafe than a restaurant, but the food is made fresh. Overall, the food was pretty good, although I did find the salmon to be quite fatty. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go back, but I hope to remedy that when I am next in Brisbane.
This place serves very fresh and tasty sashimi and sushi as well as hot and cold noodles Open till late and the service is quick and friendly. They have a lot of choices for an authentic Japanese food experience.
Freshly made by a great bunch of friendly staff. The Sushi is really good and at a very reasonable price. The salmon, tuna and kingfish sushi is really good.

I've had different sushi there but my favourite is the aburi salmon sushi with avo. The salmon always tastes fresh and seared just right.
Great sushi that nail traditional sushi. Casual ambiance with excellent staff. Try the hand rolls, you won't be disappointed.
