The sandwich was okay. However, after stepping outside to eat it, I was surprised to receive a $60 ticket because the woman who took my order called the police to ticket my car. When I ordered, she asked where I was parked, and I showed her. As a courtesy, customers are allowed to park in front of the store. I initially started eating inside but went outside because she was yelling at the cook. I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless you’re ready to pay an unexpected $60 fee along with your meal. The ticket was issued just 17 minutes after I placed my order and only 10 minutes after I got my sandwich. I’ve uploaded a copy of both the receipt and the ticket.
My wife and I have lived in this neighborhood for several years, and this store is amazing. We regularly pick up breakfast sandwiches, lunch, snacks, wine, and beer here. They also host wine tastings on select evenings. We’ve visited Friendship Gourmet Market hundreds of times and have never had a bad experience. The owner, Tenny, and her family are wonderful. One hot afternoon last year, during a heat wave when our apartment's air conditioning went out, Tenny overheard us complaining and immediately lent us one of the fans she had running in the store. We absolutely LOVE Friendship Gourmet!
This place is truly a hidden gem that you need to check out! We ordered takeout for lunch and the hot sandwiches were fantastic. We tried a turkey club, a meatball sub, and a German steak sandwich, and everything was outstanding. They have an impressive selection of wine and beer, too. The service was fast and the staff were very friendly. There's also a lovely seating area where you can eat in or wait for your food to be freshly made. We're definitely planning to return to sample more sandwiches and other dishes!

I visited Friendship Gourmet Market for the first time and had a rather strange experience with the clerk. Instead of welcoming me or offering to help, she simply stated, "I'm watching you," and didn't offer any further assistance. The beer selection didn't have prices listed, and another staff member was unable to provide me with that information.

I often dine at Friendship Gourmet Market for their delicious sandwiches and excellent variety of beer and wine. The staff is warm and always open to chatting. The prices are very fair, and they sometimes offer wine tastings. I highly recommend this place as a fantastic local gem.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delightful! We also savored a wonderful bottle of South African wine.

I absolutely love their Tuna and Reuben sandwiches. Tenny is incredibly kind and always makes sure that everything is just right.
An Italian sub with American cheese? You definitely get what you pay for. On the other hand, the wine prices are quite high.
