Where should I begin? First, and foremost, the food was some of the best food I have tried in my lifetime. It reminded me of fine dining in Paris in my Army days what seems like a lifetime ago. The Filet melts, while you taste the citrus and perfectly seasoned meat fibers as they dissolved slowly in your mouth! The tuna, lamb, soup, salad, all offered perfection in every savory morsel. Frog and slim is a cut above the rest. With their undeniable attention to detail, exceptional culinary expertise, brilliant libations crafted to perfection, and service oriented team of professional staff, you are guaranteed to have a truly unique experience. I have visited Frog and Slim twice now, once for an intimate dinner, again with a large group, and they offered the same exact experience, fabulous!!! Ambiance was soulful and was reminiscent of a modern jazz club. Our host was Elaina and she was fabulous! We moved tables and as a result we're supposed to have a different person but, we asked to keep her. We were NOT disappointed. She provided great suggestions and was full of genuine smiles, pizzazz and comic relief making us feel as we'd dined in a professional yet familial like establishment. The food was delicious! We couldn't get enough of the deviled eggs, clams, Alaskan ora kind salmon, Wagyu burger, braised pork shank, rack of lamb, chicken confit, bread pudding, chocolate truffles and pumpkin crème brûlée. Quality food, service and ambiance we'll definitely visit again.
We really loved the food (she had the New York Strip and I had the Waygu Burger) and the service was great, but it did feel a tad overpriced, and please keep in mind there is a 3% service charge added to each bill before you calculate your gratuity. The location is good (at 16th O), but if you're driving downtown and have reservations, give yourself enough time to find parking ... it's a scavenger hunt. Overall, a really good dining experience and we'd go again.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Frog and Slim. We had a reservation for 5:30, but since the play ended earlier than we anticipated, we arrived ahead of schedule. Fortunately, the restaurant was able to accommodate us. It’s definitely a good idea to make reservations! The food was fantastic, especially the rack of lamb, and the atmosphere was lovely.
Cute little place, although somewhat cramped. Bruschetta was cracker like and arugula was wilty. Salmon was meh, black rice was tasty. Service was not good! Both waitress and subsequently manager had superior attitudes and excuses when a small adjustment to service was requested. Service industry folks need to learn to fix the problem and move on.
I wasn't sure about this place but it turned out to be a very pleasant time. Our waiter, Jack, was very helpful and funny. My wife and I had a great time. A little pricey but I felt it was worth it. I recommend this place to people who enjoy a good steak and are not afraid of spending some money.
I ordered lamb ribs, chicken confi, and bread pudding Chicken dish was good and so was the bread pudding. But lamb ribs had mo flavor to them. Would like more flavor. Seats are too upright and tight and you have to lean on the table. There is no way to sit without leaning on table.

It was my first visit, and I was thoroughly impressed with everything—the restaurant's condition, the decor, the food, and the waitstaff. I went for Valentine’s Day, which required a reservation, and my date was absolutely amazed. We will certainly return!
