we wanted to visit the joyful hammer look hammer on the other side of the road, but they, where closed for lunch, so we thought we could do the same and the restaurant looked very welcoming in an old wooden frame house that was formerly the foreman or owners house of the hammer mill. we have managed to get a place outside (for some eager washps to see) they serve traditional ore mountain food and some other typical German staples, so there is something for every taste. my father had a filet steak and he felt that he was the best he had cooked for perfection in a long time. We meant to visit the "Frohnauer Hammer Schau Hammer" on the other side of the road but they where closed for lunch so we figured we could do the same and the Restaurant looked very inviting in an old Wood Framed House that used to be the Foreman or Owners House of the Hammer Mill opposite.We managed to get a seat outside (watch out for some eager Wasps). In our Ore Mountains vacations have been hit by chance on this place and were very positively surprised. Very nice and fast operation, which keeps the overview even in the greatest hustle and bustle. The food came within 20 minutes and was really top. My wife had Tagliatelle Parmesan and I at the first visit had grill ribs with potato cracks and a cream tip. The next day, my wife again took the excellent noodles and I took an ice leg with lumps and sauerkraut . It was just like the ribs just super delicious. we loved the building. the restaurant belongs to an old minen complex and is beautiful. but the food itself did not fit the house. I ordered sour roast slowly boiled vernacular with red cabbage and poatoe dumplings that I fear both the cauliflower and the. knödel were either made of a glass or a pack. very disappointing. only two stars, but because of the environment I will add an additional star. Very delicious food! Had the beef tongue, my wife was the Roulade. Both the hammer and plentiful portions! Fast very friendly staff! If you have been in Frohnau near Annaberg, this economy is a duty! Thank you.
