As a former temporary worker, I can only strongly advise anyone who is considering applying to this catering business not to do so, as you, especially as a temporary worker, will be treated like an annoying appendage by the “higher-ranking” employees and management, which is now the case to be employed and in the event of something trivial there is a risk of termination without notice, which was also the case in my case. Reason: I wouldn't do what I was told, despite completing all tasks conscientiously (so there was clearly no refusal to work) and yet I actually had the audacity to mix up drink sizes twice on a Saturday shift. Isn't it rather suboptimal to benevolently hire temporary workers if you expect perfection right from the start? The only reason that prevents me from taking action against this completely unjustified dismissal and from suing for the wages I am entitled to for the period of notice is the low profitability of a lawsuit, which the owner certainly knows and also thinks it is a good idea thought her “right-hand man” lured me into the branch under the pretext of taking on a shift in order to save the 85 cents in postage for termination. The fact that you shamelessly screw over students who are willing to work and rush from school to work out of a sense of duty for such a lousy action... just wow. So devious and immoral that I'm at a loss for words. Best regards Maria Laura O.
