The Heurigen has a lovely garden sitting area and is also nice inside. The food is very good and they have excellent wine. If you do not wish to go and get your meal from the buffet you can order everything that is breaded with the waitresses (Schnitzel, Backhendl, etc). Service is sometimes slow, but given the area they must cover, it pays to be a bit patient - after all you are here for chill time and you don't have any appointments to meet. They also have music which one can politely decline if one prefers to hold a conversation with the people one is there with...

Compared to other Heurigen, Fuhrgassl-Huber is between the really touristic ones in Grinzing and the hidden ones in the 19th district. It is a large outfit, with a mix of locals and tourists. The food buffet is astonishingly well organised to serve many people without too much waiting time, and the outside area feels more intimate than it really is. I was slightly taken aback by the price for a litre of sparkling water ("soda"), but otherwise found both food and wine pleasant, and appropriately priced.

Very pleasant experience going to dinner here. It was a perfect night to eat out and the traditional Viennese food that the group picked was excellent. The view of the vineyards was unexpected and I felt like I was in the countryside not in Vienna. I also liked the 2 gentlemen walking around the restaurant playing classical Austrian music.

Neustift am Walde is an attractive western suburb of Vienna but only about 20 minutes to the centre. This hotel is a delight - good rooms and facilities; parking underneath, a garden and courtyard for breakfast, a pleasant bar. And the village with its heuringer are not too far to walk
