TLDR: Perfectly serviceable sushi spot. It 's classic Japanese decor, feels like quality, certainly on the pricey side. Stumbled upon this place while trying to find a new sushi place to eat for my birthday. It 's a traditional sushi place that will not disappoint! We got a 12 piece chef nigiri plate (their version of omakase) for like 40 dollars and all of the nigiris was fresh and delicious! The cut was big as well! They have a private room that you can use for your party and it only cost 20 dollars on top of your bill !The service was good/on the okay side . Service: the waiter seems to have no knowledge on the dishes written on the Today’s recommendation board. We tried to order the special hand roll on the today’s recommendation but the waiter gave us weird look and said it wasn’t offered.Food: the chirashi bowl was disappointing. The cut of the fish was very chunky. The seared albacore pieces were very cold and the seared side was lukewarm as best. It felt like it was from the freezer and not fully thawed. The scallop was tasteless and the tuna tasted watery. The ama ebi nigiri we ordered came after we had finished everything else and the fried shrimps were cold. The grilled Hamachi Kama was decent.
