Fujiyama Japanese Steakhouse

We had an explosion!!!! We sat almost immediately. Our server Trisha was great!! And the chef made our food!!! He was great!!! We drank alcohol, entertained, he was a comedian/cook and engaged us all in fun! I would just say I would like to have a little more on my food, which I am sure they agree when we come back!! Definitely a place Mattoon needed terrible bad!! from us!!! Great time with the family in this restaurant!!!

A very unexpected surprise. Stay at the Comfort Suites during the visit of EIU and did not want a quick meal. Has Tempura Shrimp Roll and Tempura Shrimp Appetizer....both ingenious. Salad and soup were delicious, my 10 year old son NIE eats the extra, but loved the soup. The server was great and the cook VERY entertaining. Food portions were huge and of great quality. Very recommended.

I have to give a 5 star. The food is AMAZING and DELICIOUS!!!! The staff is friendly. Remember that this is not fast food, so it will take time. But I'm gonna be worth the time and say the money. They do not serve lunch menus at weekends and they should let people know that when they go to put them. Don't upset the time. So be patient because it's so good.

I usually don't do that so I do. I just ate Fujiyama in Mattoon IL! The best experience I would have if someone went there, I recommend that you ask Jeff as your server! He is very respectable jokes with you and was the best server I ever had!!! If only wanted to get his name out there, he is great!!!!

First time at grills there usually eat in dining room. Good service and chef was on point. We enjoyed our dinner celebrating my niece's birthday
