It was hot but what appealed was the lovely setting under a serious canopy with a view over the main square. Staff absolutely charming, food excellent, and I was even able to have a cuddle with the new kitten (having been away for 5 weeks already, I miss our cats). Well worth a visit, and the limoncello and menthe made by Jean, le patron, is superb. Oh, and despite at the end of 3 weeks in Corsica, tried the muscat petillant and it was delicious (and well chilled).

After hours of driving and exploring Castagniccia we stopped in charming town of Vescovato. It was around noon and the sun was shining. And how could nicer than having a refreshment drink in the shade of this bar?
