GA Manoir de Retival is a most unusual restaurant that definitely deserves a stop on your way to or from the Normandy Coast. The setting overlooks the Seine River and one of the first bridges to cross the river in the region. The decor is very well thought through, mixing traditions and modernity (colour mix, fabrics, antiques, paintings...) with a warm feeling when you are inside... if you reserve early enough and are only two or three you will end up in the kitchen... which in itself is a curiosity superbly manged by a ...young german chef! Great food and very reasonable prices. We loved it.
we have been here many times, I lost count and I am sure we will return again. The team has a great sense of hospitality and the food is outstanding.The menu is prepared in front of us and it is referring to the seasonal local products. What does that mean ? Egg Benedict with truffles !!! Oyster and Champagne. If I continue to write about all the dishes I will get hungry ! It is a special place with special people and special food. We will be back !
